What is an oversized baggage item?

If you exceed the total regulatory size for your hold baggage (total H+W+L greater than 158 cm), you will have to pay an additional price. 
This additional price concerns all types of hold baggage: those included in the hold baggage franchise or acquired during the CLUB CORSAIR loyalty program or purchased as additional baggage. 

Cost of hold baggage which exceeds the regulatory format (baggage between 159 cm and 300 cm/ max. 23kg in Economy: max. 32kg in Premium or Business) :

  • Between Paris and Fort-De-France or Pointe-à-Pitre or Reunion Island or Mayotte : 100€ per trip (150 CAD)
  • Between Paris and Africa or Mauritius or Canada : 300€ per trip (350 CAD)

Example : 
You have bought or need to buy additional baggage to get to Abidjan :
If you have purchased an additional baggage at 160€ in advance or if you have to buy it on the day of departure at the airport for 200€ and this additional baggage exceeds the authorized baggage hold dimensions, you will have to pay an additional price of 300€.

  • Your oversized baggage purchased in advance will cost 160€ + 300€ which needs to be paid at the airport, for a total cost of 460€ ;
  • Your oversized baggage which is paid for on the day of departure shall cost 200€, which needs to be paid at the airport + 300€ to be paid at the airport, for a total of 500€.

 

You are only traveling with your hold baggage included in the price of your ticket :
--> If your hold baggage included in your price is oversized, you will pay the additional 300€ directly at the airport on the departure day.  

Note : The additional baggage known as "oversized" or "alternate format" is paid at the airport, on the day of departure, or can be purchased during an online check-in, which is open 72 hours before departure.
 

Attention

  • This service is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • This service is modifiable and eligible only on flights operated by CORSAIR.
  • This service is limited to 9 luggage per passenger, including the basic luggage allowance. Please note: on the Corsair website you can only purchase 4 additional luggage. Once purchased, they will be non-refundable and you will not be able to add any additional luggage.
  • This service cannot be purchased in the following cases :
    • Infants under 2 years of age.
    • Animals (in the cabin or in the hold). A special pet fare is available.
    • Carriage of sports equipment, for which a special rate applies.
