Check-in baggage franchise in Economy class

1 piece of baggage weighing up to 23 kg (height + length + width = 158 cm maximum with 95 cm hight per luggage) for Classic or Flex fares. Between Paris and Africa, 2 pieces of checked baggage of 23kg each.
The hold baggage franchise is valid for all adults and children from the age of 2.

•    No check-in baggage is included in the price if you buy a "Basic" ticket except between Paris and Africa where only one check-in baggage weighing 23 kg is included in the Basic price.

•    Students (on presentation of a certificate of school attendance for the current year and the purchase of a ticket at the student rate): 2 pieces of luggage of 23 kg each

•    For young people (12-24 years old) traveling from or to Fort-de-France, Pointe-à-Pitre, a 2 baggage franchise of 23 kilos is granted for any ticket which has been purchased at a youth rate (12- 24 years).

It should be noted : 
If you need to carry a stroller (regardless which type) for a child over the age of 2, on the day of your trip, this is not included in their check-in baggage franchise. You will have to pay an additional fee, for transporting this additional baggage, unless the stroller is the only baggage.

 

Check-in baggage franchise in Premium classes

  • You benefit from 2 pieces of luggage with a maximum weight of 23 kg each for all destinations except Africa (Mali, Ivory Coast, Benin) (height + length + width = 158 cm maximum with 95 cm hight per luggage).
  • This hold baggage franchise is valid for all adults and children from the age of 2. 

 

Check-in baggage franchise in Business classes

  • You benefit from 2 pieces of luggage with a maximum weight of 32 kg each (height + length + width = 158 cm maximum with 95 cm hight per luggage).
  • This hold baggage franchise is valid for all adults and children from the age of 2. 

It should be noted : 
If you need to carry a stroller (regardless which type) for a child over the age of 2 on the day of your trip, this is not included in their check-in baggage franchise. You will have to pay a supplement for transporting this additional baggage if the stroller is in addition to the 2 authorized bags.

 

Specific franchises

Corsair members
If you have a GOLD or PLATINUM status, you benefit from :

  • an additional 23 kg baggage in ECONOMY class, provided that you have purchased a fare which includes at least 1 check-in baggage (no additional check-in baggage if your fare does not include at least 1 check-in baggage)

  • one additional piece of luggage weighing 23 kg in PREMIUM classes

  • one additional piece of luggage weighing 32 kg in BUSINESS classes

 

Baby (0-23 months of age)
In the hold baggage, 1 piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg (height + length + width = 158 cm maximum and with 95 cm hight per lugguage)

  • A stroller, a cozy or a cot can be added free of charge.
  • No cabin baggage carried for free. Baby accessories must be included in the adult's cabin baggage.

 

Young people (aged 12-24) travelling to or from Pointe-à-Pitre or Fort-de-France :
In Economy class, a baggage allowance of 2 baggage items of 23 kilos each per trip is granted for all tickets purchased at the youth fare (12-24 years).

It should be noted :
Promotional fares do not include extra baggage even if you have selected the "young" typology when searching for flights.

Students :
In Economy class, 2 pieces of baggage of 23 kilos each per trip are allowed for all tickets purchased at the student fare (18-29 years old) on presentation of a school certificate for the current year.

Sport material and musical instruments :
Here are the instructions to follow when traveling with sports equipment :

  • Surfboards, windsurfing boards, kite surfing, windsurfing, etc. must be transported in a separate container from your luggage allowance for a maximum weight of 32 kg and a maximum length of 300 cm.
  • Bikes will be transported in a separate container from your luggage allowance, up to a maximum weight of 23 kg. Bicycles must be wrapped in protective packaging (cardboard, strong plastic). Pedals must be removed, tires deflated and handlebars positioned parallel to the frame.
  • Diving equipment will be transported in a container separate from your luggage allowance for a maximum weight of 20 kg. Cylinders must be emptied, uncapped and placed in the hold. Diving flashlights may be carried in the cabin if they are disconnected from their heat source. Batteries, light bulbs and accumulators must be carried in the hold. The diving bag must include a maximum of one wetsuit, one vest, one mask, one pair of shoes, one pair of fins, one knife and one regulator.
  • Fishing rods must be carried in a separate container from your luggage allowance, weighing no more than 12 kg, in a tube no more than 2 m long. Over 1.5m, please check in at the oversize luggage counter.
  • Ski equipment will be transported in a separate container from your luggage allowance up to a maximum weight of 23 kg (for a maximum of 2 pieces). Skis and poles must be securely attached to each other. Sharp edges must be padded to avoid damaging the walls of the aircraft's cargo hold (equipment accepted: downhill skiing, snowboarding, water skiing).
  • Sporting or hunting weapons and ammunition : The conditions governing the carriage of sporting or hunting weapons and their ammunition apply exclusively to flights operated by CORSAIR. For all flights operated by other airlines, we invite you to contact the latter to find out about the relevant conditions.
  • Golf bags will be transported free of charge in a container separate from your luggage allowance for a maximum weight of 20 kg (this free luggage is in addition to your hold allowance, i.e. free transport of your equipment + your hold allowance).

 

Sports equipment mentioned above can be transported free of charge and included in the baggage allowance of your fare class instead of the hold baggage included, if the sports equipment concerned complies with the maximum weight allowance of your fare class (23kg in ECONOMY and PREMIUM class and 32kg in BUSINESS class) and/or the authorized dimensions mentioned above.

If the sports equipment concerned exceeds the maximum authorized weight of the baggage allowance for your fare class and/or the required dimensions, you will be charged a flat-rate fee of :

  • 50€ per journey for intra-Community and regional flights,
  • 70€ per trip for international flights.

 

Please note that longboard cannot be included in the luggage allowance of your fare class instead of the hold luggage included. You will therefore have to pay a flat rate of €100 per journey, whatever your destination.

Musical instruments :
Corsair allows you to travel with musical instruments if you comply with the following conditions :

  • In the hold : musical instruments must be carried in a rigid case and must not exceed 158 cm. For any instrument exceeding 300cm or weighing more than 32kg, prior approval from our customer service department is required. 

  • In the cabin : their dimensions must not exceed 115cm, and they replace the cabin luggage authorized in your ticket.

If it is an additional baggage item (in addition to the luggage included, depending on the fare class), you will be charged :

  • 50€ per leg of the journey for Martinique, Guadeloupe, Reunion Island and Mayotte, and for regional Indian Ocean flights,
  • 70€ per leg of the journey for international flights.

 

The baggage known as "outside or other format"
If you exceed the total regulatory size for your check-in baggage (total H + W + L greater than 158 cm), you will have to pay an additional fee. This additional charge applies to all kinds of check-in baggage: those included in the hold baggage franchise, acquired during the CLUB CORSAIR loyalty program or purchased as an additional baggage.

Miscellaneous :
The transport of flower boxes is a charged service. You will be charged for additional luggage, the cost will depend on your class of travel and destination (see "Additional luggage charges" tab).

Careful with  MAC BOOK PRO 15'' :
Given the risk of fire related to the overheating of these devices, transporting MACBOOK PRO 15 '' laptops is strictly forbidden in the hold baggage but remains authorized as cabin baggage.
On board, using and recharging these devices are strictly forbidden throughout the flight.

For passengers with the same ticket for a journey with a connection to Orly, the baggage franchise for the first point of departure applies.
