Am I allowed to transport perishable foodstuffs and plants?

Réponse

For most plant products, you must present a phytosanitary certificate and your import permit to introduce the latter in their destination. Do not forget these documents while transporting these.

French law only allows you to transport a kilo of fresh food to some destinations. It should also be noted that a large number of products are forbidden. For more information, please check with the relevant administrations in the countries of departure, transit and destination. You can also enquire with:

Ministère de l'Agriculture
Food hygiene Branch
 251, rue de Vaugirard
 75732 Paris Cedex 15
 Tel: +33 1 49 55 84 17 or +33 1 49 55 49 55

Please note: the customs service will dispossess any prohibited product, regardless of its nature. To transport perishable foods, Corsair is not liable in the case of loss, theft or damage. Passengers are advised to subscribe to a private insurance which covers such items. Example of perishable and non-liquid food types, authorized in the cabin (therefore authorized through the security filter):

•    Chocolate bars
•    Dry biscuits
•    Cakes
•    Chips
•    Chewing-gum
•    Candies etc...

To properly prepare your luggage, please have a look at this regulation  from the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition.
