Before your flight from Montreal to Paris

When to book a flight from Montreal to Paris ?

If winter in Canada is harsh but also very dry, in Paris it's quite cold and damp, with gray skies prevailing. At this time of year, however, Paris is decked out in its finest Christmas decorations, from the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe. Corsair only offers flights to Montreal between June and September inclusive.

It's a good thing, too, because Paris is a great place to visit during the summer vacations. Not only are the days longer and warmer, but the city is emptied of its inhabitants. Paris is all yours!

To enjoy France's capital under the summer rays, look for a flight during this period, book your round-trip tickets and benefit from our best fares.

What are the formalities before your flight from Montreal to Paris ?

Preparing your vacation well ensures that you'll have a great time. That way, you can avoid unpleasant surprises or oversights. Here's some practical information before you buy your tickets.

For your trip, it's important to arrive a little early at Montreal-Trudeau airport to go through security and check in your luggage. Once on board our aircraft, your non-stop direct flight to Paris-Orly will take 7 hours 45 minutes. The time difference with Paris is 6 hours.

For administrative formalities, a valid passport is essential. The currency used in France is the euro : remember to exchange your Canadian dollars as necessary. Finally, note that the cost of living is quite high in the capital, where shopping temptations abound.

As for your luggage, remember that temperatures in Paris vary greatly between winter and summer. The time of year you leave will determine the contents of your suitcases. The only rule remains: think both practical and chic !

Arriving at Paris-Orly airport

After a long journey, you'll land at Paris-Orly international airport, located in the southern suburbs of Paris. The first thing you'll need to do is make your way to your hotel to drop off your luggage. You'll find plenty of cabs just outside your arrival hall.

Public transport is the most economical way to reach the capital's splendor. There are 2 options :

  • take tramway T7 to Villejuif-Louis Aragon station, where you can then transfer to Paris metro line 7;
  • take a shuttle bus (such as the Orly Bus or Le Bus Direct) to the heart of Paris.

You can also rent a car locally for the duration of your stay in France. All car rental companies are present in the airport parking lot. This is the best solution if you want to discover a little more than Paris, and don't want to be dependent on public transport.
