What do I need to know about transporting my pet in the cabin?
In the cabin, you are only allowed to travel with 1 animal under your responsibility during the entire flight. Prior to departure, you must notify us of your pet's presence on board by making a seat reservation no later than 72 hours prior to departure.
It must be at least 2 months old and microchipped.
Baggage allowance:
Your animal is not included in your cabin luggage allowance.
Per animal, you will have to pay a fee of :
- Eur 75 (108/118 CAD) per leg between Paris and Fort-de-France, Pointe-à-Pitre, Mayotte or Reunion island.
- Eur 150 (220 CAD) per leg between Paris, Montreal Madagascar or Africa.
Pets in cabin is forbidden between Paris and Mauritius island.
If you are accompanied by a person who is also transporting an animal, you will be separated on board for safety reasons.
Conditions of carriage:
Your pet must be placed in a closed container for the duration of the flight :
- Your container will be equipped with an appropriate closure system and ventilation holes. Its dimensions must not exceed those of a hand luggage, so that it can be placed under your seat (length + width + depth = 115 cm maximum).
- From Orly, Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France and Reunion island, You can buy a regulation bag (length + width + depth = 115 cm maximum) at the price of Eur 50 (70/78 CAD) (price subject to change without notice).
- The maximum permitted weight of the animal and its container is 8 kg. If this is exceeded, your pet will have to travel in the hold.
- Certificate of good health less than 5 days old to be presented at registration
If your animal is a guide dog, it will be allowed in the cabin if it does not occupy a seat and is on a leash. Its travel will be free, and as with all animals, its reservation requires a prior request within a maximum of 48 hours before departure.
