Procedures and fares for bereaved families
To facilitate travel for bereaved families between mainland France and the overseas departments and regions (DROM), Corsair offers a special economy fare available year-round.
This fare applies exclusively to round-trip Corsair flights and can only be purchased through Corsair sales outlets. It is offered in Economy class and subject to availability.
This arrangement applies to journeys between mainland France and the following destinations:
- Martinique (Fort-de-France)
- Guadeloupe (Pointe-à-Pitre)
- Réunion
- Mayotte

To benefit from this fare, passengers must present the following documents at ticket issuance:
- A death certificate issued by the deceased’s local town hall
- Proof of first-degree kinship with the deceased
This fare is available for up to four members of the same family.
First-degree family members include the deceased’s parent, sibling or child.
If these documents are not presented at issuance, the ticket will be issued at the standard fare. Passengers may request reimbursement of the difference between the standard fare and the bereaved family fare by submitting a written request with supporting documents within 30 days of departure.

- €320 excl. tax to/from Paris (€676 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
- €479 excl. tax between Bordeaux and Fort-de-France (€824 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
- €479 excl. tax between Nantes and Pointe-à-Pitre (€826 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
Réunion:
- €405 excl. tax to/from Paris (€851 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
- €405 excl. tax to/from Lyon (€845 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
- €405 excl. tax to/from Marseille (€847 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
Mayotte:
- €442 excl. tax to/from Paris (€949 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
- €442 excl. tax to/from Lyon (€989 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
- €442 excl. tax to/from Marseille (€991 incl. tax, subject to airport tax changes)
Coffin transport
Coffin transport is strictly regulated and requires presentation of the following mandatory documents:
- A special certificate issued and signed by the funeral home, certifying compliance with regulatory requirements.
- An authorization form issued by the airport police, to be presented on the day of departure.
How to transport a cremation urn?
Cremation urns are permitted in the cabin provided that:
- The packaging conceals the contents and the container is not fragile.
- The dimensions comply with cabin baggage limits.
- The urn is sealed, regardless of destination.
- For international travel, administrative formalities are in order, including: 
 – a cremation certificate issued by the crematorium;
 – a transport permit from the prefecture or town hall.
