To prevent fire risk due to overheating of these devices, the carrying of 15'' MAC BOOK PRO laptops is strictly prohibited in checked baggage but remains allowed in carry-on baggage. On board, the use and recharging of these devices is strictly prohibited throughout the flight.

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 7

The Samsung Galaxy note 7 is prohibited on board in the cabin, in the hold including for cargo transport. 
You are fully responsible for this aircraft, which has become prohibited for transport in our Company if it causes serious damage to our aircraft.

For all destinations: the piece concept is applied

This is the policy in force for most European airlines.
This principle indicates the number of pieces of baggage (pieces) authorized free of charge in the hold as well as their dimensions and weight. This number varies according to the class of travel.
Regardless of your destination, your checked baggage must not exceed 158 cm (height + length + width).
Beyond that, your baggage will be considered out of format by our check-in agents.

The baggage in hold "out or other format"

If you exceed the total size of your checked baggage (total H + W + L greater than 158 cm), you will have to pay a surcharge as indicated in the table below.
This surcharge applies to all types of hold baggage: baggage included in the hold franchise or acquired during the LE CLUB CORSAIR loyalty programme or purchased as additional baggage. It applies only to flights operated by Corsair. 

Examples

Additional luggage to travel to Abidjan:
If you have purchased the option additional baggage at € 160 in advance or if you have to buy it on the day of departure at the airport at € 200 and this additional baggage exceeds the authorized hold dimensions, you will have to pay a € 300 surcharge. 

  • Your pre-purchased out-of-format baggage will amount to € 160 + € 300 to be paid at the airport, for a total of € 460;
  • Your out-of-format baggage paid on the day of departure will amount to € 200 to be paid at the airport + € 300 to be paid at the airport, for a total of € 500.

You have one baggage item included in the price of your ticket
If your checked baggage included in the fare exceeds the allowed dimensions, you will have to pay the additional fare. 
If you have to go to Mauritius island for example, the extra charge to be paid on the day of departure at the airport is € 300 Eur. If you have to go to La Reunion island, the extra charge to be paid on the day of departure at the airport is € 100.

For immediate travel  To/From France (and province)  and Africa or Mauritius Island or Canada To / from France (and province) or Réunion Island, Mayotte or the french West Indies

The maximum allowed weight of additional baggage or baggage over 158 cm in size depends on your transport class.

  • 23kg in Economy class;
  • 32kg in Premium class;
  • 32kg in Business class.

If the excess baggage allowance is exceeded, you will have to pay at the airport for the normal price of the excess kilo (maximum weight of a checked baggage item 32kg).

Note

Beyond this allowance,  a surcharge per excess kilo (see below) or per additionnal baggage will be applied.

Important

If your luggage excees the weight allowed, the additional charge is as follows:

  • € 50 between Paris and the West Indies, Reunion Island or Mayotte.
  • € 85 between Paris and Africa or Mauritius island or Montreal.

For any excess between 1 and 9 kg maximum per piece of luggage (the maximum weight of a piece of luggage is 32 kg).

Any piece not observing these standards and presented at check-in without the prior consent of the airline will be rejected.

Special allowances

For babies (up to 23 months)
There is a 10 kg hold baggage allowance, regardless of the luggage concept applicable for your destination. Pushchairs are carried for free.

For the GOLD or PLATINUM members of the CLUB CORSAIR loyalty program
Economy Class : 1 additional luggage of 23 kilos. No additional luggage if you buy a basic fare ( basic fare not include a luggage in hold).

Premium Class: 1 luggage of 32 additionnal kilos (no additional luggage if travel is from/to the following destinations : Saint Barthelemey, San Lucia, Antigua, Dominica, San Juan, Porto Rico, Barbados or San-Marteen for which standard baggage allowance is 1 piece of 23 kg per leg).

Business Class: 1 luggage of 32 additionnal kilos (no additional luggage if travel is from/to the following destinations : Saint Barthelemey, San Lucia, Antigua, Dominica, San Juan, Porto Rico, Barbados or San-Marteen for which standard baggage allowance is 1 piece of 23 kg per leg).

For students
In Economy class a special allowance is granted for any ticket issued at the student fare (aged 18 to 29), available only in travel agencies or any Corsair point of sales (except Corsair web site).

Learn the way to do its carry-on luggage

In accordance with the aviation security rules in force, we suggest you read our advice carefully in order to prepare your luggage. Many items are not authorised for air carriage, and others must be specially packed in order to be accepted (especially concealed hazardous goods).

Since the responsibility of the airline is limited in case of loss/theft or accident, additional insurance may sometimes prove necessary.

Hazardous materials and “concealed” hazardous materials

The customer is held fully responsible in the event of a problem on-board associated with carry-on luggage in their name containing hazardous materials not declared at check-in.

Certain hazardous goods may be “concealed”: 

  • Electrically driven appliances;
  • Wheelchair batteries;
  • Certain automotive parts;
  • Diving equipment;
  • Certain medical supplies;
  • Camping equipment;
  • Photography supplies.


Please note

  • Diving torches must be separated from their power sources (batteries, capsules, accumulators, etc.) and placed in cabin luggage.
  • Diving cylinders are accepted in the hold. They must be emptied and uncapped, and come within the hold luggage allowance.

Prohibited goods

  • Explosives: fireworks, flares, rockets, firecrackers, primers, trick explosives, etc;
  • Compressed, inflammable or non-inflammable gases: tear gas, stoves with refills or butane cylinders, gas cartridges, large quantities of aerosols, freon, helium, etc;
  • Inflammable liquids: oil stoves and refills, paints and thinners, varnishes, automotive lacquers, fuels, engines with the fuel tank not completely drained (mopeds, motorbikes, karts, lawnmowers, chainsaws, gensets), etc;
  • Inflammable solids: such as firebrands or barbecue lighters;
  • Toxic products: toxic or anaesthetic products, pesticides, insecticides, infectious materials or microbe cultures, etc;
  • Organic peroxides and oxidising agents: products for common domestic use such as oxygenated water, washing powder, detergents, chemicals, liquid or powder fertilisers (chlorate or nitrate), weedkillers, etc;
  • Radioactive materials: equipment, products, instruments or devices containing a radioactive material, even if they are deemed to be exempt from regulations;
  • Any corrosive product such as batteries, electrolytes, mercury barometers and thermometers, acids, bleach, etc;
  • Hazardous goods (miscellaneous): the UN classification 9 includes dry ice, yet we do carry it. However, passengers must inform the airline of it, and not exceed 2.5kg per passenger, in packaging enabling carbon dioxide release;
  • Munitions: Regulation 185/2010 (§5, appendix 5b) now prohibits the carriage of munitions in hold luggage;

  • Hoverboard, skateboarding, scooters and other electric Segways and unicycles.

If you wish to carry valuable or fragile items
We remind you that your luggage must be locked, labelled internally and externally with your surname, forename and permanent address.

Please note

The airline is not responsible for the following items carried in checked-in luggage: 

  • Money (cash, credit cards, cheque books);
  • Securities or bonds;
  • Business documents/ID;
  • Medicines;
  • Jewellery;
  • Car/house keys;
  • Samples;
  • Valuables (camera, videocam, PC, laptop, telephone, Hi-Fi equipment, electronic games, electronic diaries, etc.);
  • Fragile items (vases, paintings, etc.);
  • For the latter two categories in particular, we suggest you take out temporary private insurance covering this type of item to protect yourself against damage or loss.
