Before your flight Paris Bamako

When to book a flight from Paris to Bamako ?

There's really no better time to grab your ticket. Bamako enjoys a tropical climate where rainfall is greater in summer, especially in July and August, than in winter. The most favorable and pleasant period to visit Mali would then be between October and January.

Block dates in relation to what you want to do and book your flight. And if the travel dates chosen are flexible, you should also know that depending on your budget, we offer cheaper flights. Check out our best economy class fares and pack your bags: Corsair takes you to Bamako at a lower cost!

What are the formalities before your flight Paris Bamako ?

Before buying your plane tickets, it is important to take note of a certain amount of practical information so that your stay can take place in the best conditions.

Regarding your trip, plan to arrive at Paris-Orly airport a little early to check your luggage and pass the controls. Then embark on a non-stop direct flight that will take you to Bamako Senou's Modibo Keita International Airport. The flight time is estimated at about 5 hours 45 minutes. The time difference with Bamako is only 2 hours all year round.

Regarding the administrative formalities, it is essential to bring a valid passport. The currency used in Mali is the African Financial Community (CFA) franc: remember to make the necessary exchange of your euros. Finally, note that the cost of living is cheaper in Mali than in France.

When it comes to your luggage and what to do with things, it all depends on the period you'll be traveling. However, bring practical and seasonal clothing.

Arriving at Modibo Keita Airport

You have finally arrived on Malian soil, in Bamako, located about fifteen kilometers south of the capital. For your travels in the capital as in all the major cities of the country, you can choose between taking yellow taxis or public transport called SOTRAMA, minibuses at a relatively affordable price.

For your intercity transport, prefer private coach companies considered more reliable (Binke Transport, Bani transport etc.) which are gradually replacing a fleet of bush taxis (peugeots 404) that are not very comfortable and can give rise to luggage supplements.

It is not recommended to rent a car on site, as the obligation of civil insurance towards third parties is little fulfilled by Malian motorists.
